We're looking for a motivated individual who can sell our services, build customer relationships, and work hands-on with our installation team.

Job Summary

As a Sales & Installation Representative, you'll play a key role in growing Humbug Holiday Lighting by generating new business, connecting with customers, providing estimates, and helping bring our holiday lighting projects to life.

This is a hybrid sales and field position, meaning you'll spend time developing customer relationships and closing sales while also assisting with professional holiday lighting installations.

We're looking for someone who is confident, dependable, comfortable working outdoors, and excited about being part of a growing company.

What You'll Do

Sales & Customer Relationships

Contact prospective residential and commercial customers through phone calls, emails, texts, and in-person outreach.
Manage inbound and outbound sales opportunities.
Generate leads through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and community outreach.
Provide accurate, timely estimates and follow up with customers to close sales.
Build strong relationships with homeowners, property managers, HOAs, and commercial clients.
Identify opportunities for additional lighting services and upgrades.
Represent Humbug Holiday Lighting with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.

Holiday Lighting Installation & Field Work

Assist with residential and commercial holiday lighting installations.
Install professional-grade roofline lighting, wreaths, garland, tree lighting, and other decorative displays.
Safely work on ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces while following company safety procedures.
Help measure, prepare, and customize lighting materials for each project.
Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and service calls.
Participate in seasonal takedowns, inventory organization, and storage.
Work closely with the installation team to ensure every project meets our quality standards.

What We're Looking For

At least 2 years of sales experience preferred, particularly in direct sales, door-to-door sales, or home services.
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with a desire to meet and exceed sales goals.
Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, and generating new business.
Willingness and ability to participate in hands-on holiday lighting installations.
Comfortable working outdoors, using ladders, and working at heights while following safety procedures.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying equipment and materials.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Flexibility to work extended hours or occasional weekends during the busy holiday season.

Candidates with experience in any of the following industries are strongly encouraged to apply:

Roofing: Experience working on roofs, using ladders, and following proper fall protection procedures.
Landscaping: Experience with outdoor installations, property maintenance, and working in varying weather conditions.
Electrical Work: Familiarity with wiring, low-voltage systems, electrical safety, and troubleshooting.
Outdoor Lighting: Experience installing landscape lighting, architectural lighting, permanent lighting, or holiday lighting.
Construction or General Contracting: Experience using tools, measuring materials, and completing hands-on projects.
Home Services Sales: Experience selling directly to homeowners or commercial property managers.

Previous holiday lighting experience is a significant advantage, but we're willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
